The great Paul Driscoll will be debuting our new single “Painted in the Dark” in the next 15 minutes. WFNX has been great to us and we regret that it’s in it’s last days. This one’s for them. Cheers

Today we got some bad news.
WFNX is being bought out and we’ve lost something great.
As a young band in boston, WFNX was a seriously vital part of the scene.
They were the first ones to put our singles on the radio and even though we couldn’t afford a fancy press package, they gave it a chance.
Its difficult to describe the feeling the first time I heard “Moniker” on the radio in a prime time spot between well known national acts, it was extremely inspiring and overwhelming.
In radio and music in general, there are these tiers of success, tiers with barriers to entry often based on money. WFNX didn’t seem to operate with that in mind, they acted more as a ladder between them. WFNX being bought by Clear Channel just reinforces those barriers to entry making it harder for great music to sneak by. Think about those mega hits by Gotye and Foster the People. Those songs are just massively popular but they don’t sound like anything else being played on pop radio. It’s because of stations like WFNX that continually pump it into the mainstream. Losing FNX is taking a step back towards more homogenized music controlled by American Idols and Disney Popstars.
WFNX has always been great to us and we have a lot of respect for the people who run it. We’re really sorry to see it go.
You will be missed,
